Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing & Development Corporation Ltd

          Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation Limited (TAHDCO) was incorporated in 1974 under the Companies Act, 1956. The Tamil Nadu Government and the Government of India contribute to the Share Capital of the Corporation.  Though the Corporation was initially started as a Construction Company in 1974, the activities of the Corporation was extended to enable it to undertake a wide spectrum of economic development schemes for income generation, skill development training for Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribes in the State.

 

Livelihood Program for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Scheme

  1. Nannilam Mahalir Nila Udamai Thittam (NMNT)

Since the ownership of land provides dignity in society, the State Government introduced the scheme in the year 2004 – 2005 to purchase land in the name of Adi Dravidar and Tribe women to empower them. Preference will be given to women belonging to the Scheduled caste. Non availability of women in that family, priority given to husband or sons.Title Deeds are registered in the name of Adi Dravidar and Tribe Beneficiary. Exemption of 100% stamp duty and registration fees to the land value. Seller should be a non Adi Dravidar/non Tribal. Land should be purchased from other than SC/ST

  1. Chief Minister Adi dravidar and tRIbal Entrepreneurship for Resourcefulness and Socio economic Empowerment Scheme “CM-ARISE”

          In order to reduce the impoverished conditions of Adi Dravidar and Tribal, people financial assistance is provided to start various business activities in the age group 18 and 55 irrespective of their educational qualification. This scheme can be accessed by individuals. 35% of the project cost or Rs.3.50 lakhs whichever is lower. The subsidy will be a Front End Subsidy.The applicant should belong to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe.

The Above 1 and 2 Scheme to avail annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs. 3.00 lakh. The applicant should be in the age group of 18 – 55. The applicant should have prior experience in the trade applied. The applicant and their family members should not have availed any subsidy so far.

  1. Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojna -“PM-AJAY”
  • PM-AJAY – Individaul

In order to reduce the impoverished conditions of Adi Dravidar people financial assistance is provided to start various business activities in the age group 18 and 55 irrespective of their qualification. This scheme can be accessed by individuals 50% of the project cost or Rs. 50000/- whichever is lower. The subsidy will be a Front End Subsidy. 

  • PM-AJAY – Economic Assistance to SHG’s

In order to reduce the impoverished conditions of Adi Dravidar Women’s self help group (minimum of 12) people financial assistance is provided to start various business activities in the age group 18 and 55 irrespective of their qualification. This scheme can be accessed by self help group 50% of the project cost or Rs. 600000/- whichever is lower. The subsidy will be a Front End Subsidy.

  1. Skill Development Trainings

To improve the quality of life of Adi Dravidar and Tribal students and educated unemployed youth through TAHDCO through various vocational skill development trainings with employment.
